Director, Program Delivery Operations

SageSure, the insurance first, tech-forward, capital-lite managing general underwriter that focuses on the underserved, preferred homeowners middle-market, is seeking a Director, Program Delivery Operations. We seek a go-getter and strategic thinker to help grow and scale our business. In partnership with the AVP of Program Delivery, the Director of Delivery Operations has the responsibility to define and execute key departmental processes across the Program Delivery Organization.

This role will have significant interaction across our organization including with our executive leadership. Given the broad reach of this role, the candidate will need to work in a highly collaborative fashion and have an exceptional ability to build relationships.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Departmental Process Ownership
  • Coordinate and prepare annual planning process in coordination with the Program Operations Executive Team and the Strategy Execution Team.
  • Coordinate and prepare quarterly and annual capital budgeting processes for the program operations functions in coordination with the Program Operations Executive Team and Financial Planning & Analysis.
  • Define and execute a process for monthly financial tracking against plans.
  • Define and execute a process for Strategic Project Assessments including presentation proposal materials and cost benefit analysis as needed.
  • Develop and facilitate alignment on the Program Operations operating model as it continues to evolve and maintain associated team structure.
  • Facilitate new role job definition and role approval processes for new and replacement Program Operations resources.

  • Operational Reporting
  • Define a KPI framework for Program Operations to measure team / function performance across time, cost, and quality dimensions.
  • Augment and execute Program Operations operational reporting in coordination with our various functional teams to support our daily and weekly execution needs.
  • Define and execute Program Operations executive reporting to the Office of the CEO to support key Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual performance assessment and decisions

  • Process Improvement
  • Facilitate an ongoing process with Program Operations teams to identify pain points, define solutions, and enable those improvement processes throughout our delivery lifecycle
  • Coordinate initiative management reporting on all Program Operations improvement initiatives through Strategy Execution Team reporting for the executive team.

We’re looking for someone who has:

  • Management Consulting, Corporate Strategy, or similar experience
  • Expert Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel skills
  • Strong insurance product and process knowledge
  • Strong executive presentation skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex business and technical items clearly and succinctly, both written and verbally
  • Ability to work effectively across insurance business-oriented and technical stakeholders
  • Ability to learn new concepts quickly and apply skills learned on the job in a rapid and effective manner
  • Solid problem-solving skills and able to reach logical, sound decisions and conclusions
  • Excellent ability to coordinate people
  • Ability to lead efforts with limited oversight
  • High energy with a sense of urgency
  • Bachelor’s degree

Highly preferred candidates also have:

  • Master’s Degree
  • Experience working with Confluence, Jira, SmartSheet, Domo
