Director, R&D Communications

The Director will help shape and execute strategic communications that advance the scientific narrative, awareness, and thought leadership of Alnylam’s industry-leading RNAi platform and pipeline. This role will be responsible for leading internal and external communications of Alnylam’s President and the R&D Leadership team (RDLT). The successful candidate will be able to understand and translate complex science into clear, concise messages for presentations, press materials, talking points, Q&As, articles, and other assets for employees and external audiences, including investors, media, patients, scientists, and healthcare professionals. As part of the Investor Relations & Communications team, reporting to the Senior Director, Head of Product Communications, this role will collaborate closely with the team to implement impactful communications initiatives to elucidate the promise of RNAi and our pipeline.
The successful candidate will be an experienced communicator with strong scientific knowledge and background with the proven ability to manage multiple projects and work collaboratively with stakeholders and across functions within a fast-moving environment. The ideal candidate will be able to scale R&D Communications to the next level as we continue to grow and bring our therapeutics to market.
