Dispatcher

GENERAL DESCRIPTION / PRIMARY PURPOSE:

Coordinate receiving of inventory from the field and vendors and shipping of product to customers.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS/DUTIES OF THE POSITION:

• Monitors the daily delivery schedule.
• Prepares paperwork for inbound and outbound shipments.
• Verify shipping and receiving transactions, including accuracy of information pertaining to temperature, item, and quantity.
• Coordinate the unloading/loading of inbound and outbound trucks based on appointment times
• Coordinate resolution of rejections and dumps.
• Answer Phones and email in a timely manner
• Work with QA personnel in resolving issues causing products to be placed on hold
• Work with Production personnel in resolving product availability issues
• Communicate to Customer Service Department any product order fill or order issues.
• Keep Warehouse management team abreast of all issues and resolution thereof.
• Adheres to company GMP’s and safety policies.

JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES:

• 2 years of dispatching experience, preferably in the produce industry. .
• Ability to communicate in English, verbally and in writing.
• Strong organization and prioritization skills
• Basic mathematical skills and logical thought process required.
• Forklift driving experience

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to work in various weather conditions.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to travel to various work locations (Marina, Huron, Yuma) and relocate.
• Ability to work inside the cooler.

WORK HOUR & TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to work long hours and work 7 days a week when necessary.

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:

• H.S. Diploma or equivalent combination of experience and education

PAY RATE: $24.02 /HR
