Our Gorillas Distribution Center (“GDC”) team provides support to our NYC store locations through daily deliveries of products and overall inventory management. This role is located in Long Island City, New York and will require frequent travel to Gorillas’ store locations throughout New York.

This role will support their mission by providing products on-time and on-demand for our stores to sell to customers. This role is fully on-site.

As the GDC Driver, your responsibilities will include:

• Driving a refrigerated box truck through the New York City area
• Making frequent stops at businesses around the NYC area to unload product via lift gate
• Unloading cargo at each stop utilizing a hand truck or pallet jack with assistance from receiving warehouses.
• Completing the required paperwork for each delivery and reporting back at the end of a route with complete logs of your deliveries
• Perform GDC related activities like lifting and carrying objects up to 60lbs
• All Gorillas delivery vehicles do not require a commercial drivers license

Requirements

• Previous experience in a professional role in a similar environment, food warehousing and trucking is preferred
• Familiar with the grocery retail space
• Strong hands-on mentality
• Very detailed oriented
• Previous driving experience
• Valid US Driver's License
• Ability to pass a background check
• Previous CDL experience preferred
• Previous cargo delivery experience preferred
• Open to flexible scheduling, i.e. early mornings and weekends are required.
