DMI has grown to over 2,100+ employees globally and has been continually recognized as a Top Workplace in both regional and national categories.About the OpportunityDMI, LLC is seeking a Data Center Lead (Linux) to join us.The Data Center Lead (Linux) is responsible for the design, configuration, deployment, and management of Linux-based systems and associated hardware in a data center environment. This role involves leading the monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance of data center operations, including Linux Red Hat systems, patching, satellite management, and Ansible automation. The Data Center Lead will also provide critical support for Disaster Recovery (DR) exercises and FISMA audits, ensuring data center compliance with security and operational standards.Duties and Responsibilities:• System Design & Configuration:• Lead the design, configuration, and deployment of Linux-based systems, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.• Implement and manage Red Hat Linux systems, ensuring timely patching, satellite configuration, and system updates.• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess data center needs and implement appropriate hardware/software solutions.• Monitoring & Troubleshooting:• Oversee the monitoring and performance of data center hardware and software, ensuring systems run efficiently.• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and resolve incidents to minimize downtime and ensure business continuity.• Automation & System Management:• Manage and automate systems using Red Hat Ansible Automation, ensuring seamless system updates and operations.• Oversee satellite administration within the Red Hat environment, automating tasks and improving operational efficiency.• Disaster Recovery & Compliance:• Lead efforts for Disaster Recovery (DR) exercises, ensuring systems are recoverable and meet operational standards in the event of an incident.• Support FISMA (Federal Information Security Management Act) audits by ensuring data center systems comply with federal security standards and requirements.• Team Leadership & Mentorship:• Provide technical leadership and guidance to the data center team, ensuring best practices in system management and data center operations.• Mentor junior staff members, helping them to develop their technical skills and grow in their roles.QualificationsEducation and Years of Experience:Education:• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or a relevant field is preferred.Experience:• Minimum of 15 years of practical experience in leading the design, configuration, deployment, and troubleshooting of data center systems, particularly Linux-based environments.Required and Desired Skills/Certifications:Certifications:• Required ITIL 4+ Foundation Certification and MCA Microsoft Azure Admin certification - prior to onboarding.• Required Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) - prior to onboarding.• Required Red Hat Certified Specialist in Ansible Automation - prior to onboarding.• Required Red Hat Certified Specialist in Satellite Administration - within 6 months of onboarding.Experience:• * Proven expertise with Red Hat Linux, including patch management, satellite, and Ansible automation systems.• Experience providing key support for Disaster Recovery (DR) exercises and FISMA audits.• Technical Skills:• Deep understanding of Red Hat Linux systems, including advanced troubleshooting and system optimization.• Expertise in Ansible automation and satellite administration in large-scale environments.• Strong project management skills and the ability to lead complex data center projects from inception to completion.Additional Requirements:• Soft Skills:• Strong communication and leadership abilities.• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems.• Detail-oriented with a focus on data center efficiency and security.Preferred Qualifications:• Master's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.• Additional certifications in data center management, security, or automation tools.• Experience with other cloud platforms, such as AWS or Google Cloud, in a hybrid data center environment.Min Citizenship Status Required: Must be a U.S. CitizenPhysical Requirements: No Physical requirement needed for this position.Location: Remote, USWorking at DMIDMI is a diverse, prosperous, and rewarding place to work.
