Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, one of the world’s leading global law firms with offices in strategic hubs of commerce, law, and government across North America, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, is seeking to hire a Litigation Docket Clerk to support our litigation practice firmwide, serving as an integral part of our team.
This position will reside in our Seattle, Washington office location with a hybrid in-office/remote working schedule. Working hours are standard Pacific office hours.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Maintains the firm’s ProLaw docket system for litigation lawyers practicing in multiple courts and jurisdictions
  • Identifies pertinent deadlines and prepares master calendar of due dates for distribution to lawyers and staff
  • Obtains filing information from court clerks and online dockets
Experience and qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • At least one year of relevant litigation calendaring/docketing experience desired, preferably in a large law firm.
  • An understanding of court docketing and calendaring procedures and familiarity with court filings and general rules of court for processing pleadings at the federal, state, and county level strongly preferred
  • Washington state court docketing experience strongly preferred
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong proofreading skills and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and balance competing demands and meet deadlines in a fast-paced professional environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to adapt to new software programs. ProLaw or comparable docketing software a plus.
  • Flexibility to work overtime required.

For positions in Seattle, Washington, the salary range for this job posting is
$50,788.00 - $81,261.25.
The base salary or hourly wage range for this position will be determined during the interview process and will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to prior experience, relevant expertise, current business needs, and market factors. The final salary or hourly wages offered may be outside of this range based on other reasons and individual circumstances. Additionally, salary or hourly wages may be only part of the total compensation package. The total compensation package for this position may also include a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, the employee will be in an "at-will position" and the firm reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, firm or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
