What you'll do We are seeking an experienced Lifecycle Marketing leader to drive our global efforts to acquire new customers. As a key leader in the newly formed Lifecycle Marketing team, you will have the unique opportunity to help create and define a new function charged with unlocking significant growth opportunities across the business. As the Director, Lifecycle Marketing - Acquisition, you will be responsible for developing and implementing marketing initiatives aimed at attracting and converting prospective customers into loyal customers through the lead, trial and purchase experience. You will be responsible for achieving our revenue goals by leading a team of talented marketers and collaborating cross-functionally to define, test and scale monetization and acquisition opportunities. This position is a people manager role reporting to the VP, Lifecycle Marketing. Responsibility • Develop and implement comprehensive lifecycle marketing strategies focused on acquiring new customers, from awareness to purchase, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives • Lead and mentor a team of marketing professionals, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities to foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and experimentation with clear impact metrics directly tied to growth • Improve journey conversion rates continuously by identifying new surface areas within the product, developing testable hypotheses, and running experiments to validate them • Be accountable for new revenue OKRs and targets • Work closely with teams across marketing, creative, and analytics to build omni-channel campaigns, experiments and messaging that increases engagement with our products and services • Use customer segmentation and persona development to identify and target high-potential customer segments, tailoring messaging and offers to resonate with their needs and preferences • Collaborate with content creators and designers to develop compelling marketing collateral, landing pages, and other assets optimized for lead generation and conversion • Monitor, analyze, and report on key performance metrics and campaign effectiveness, using insights to refine strategies and tactics for continuous improvement • Collaborate closely with sales, Product Led Growth (PLG), regional marketing teams, marketing operations and global data, and other departments to ensure alignment of marketing efforts with overall business goals and objectives • Merge PLG and sales-assisted channels to create a seamless customer experience that uses the strengths of both approaches • Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices, providing expert guidance and leadership in the context of lifecycle marketing Job Designation Hybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation) Positions at DocuSign are assigned a job designation of either In Office, Hybrid or Remote and are specific to the role/job. What you bring Basic • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field • Minimum of 12 years of proven experience in lifecycle marketing, with a focus on retention and expansion, especially within the B2B SaaS industry • Experience in developing and executing lifecycle marketing campaigns, particularly in the context of merging PLG and sales-assisted channels Preferred • MBA • Strong leadership and team management skills, with a demonstrated ability to lead and develop hard-working teams • Proficiency in using marketing automation tools, CRM systems, and analytics platforms to measure and optimize campaign performance • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams • Exceptional project management skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment • A passion for technology and a commitment to staying current with industry trends and best practices Wage Transparency Based on applicable legislation, the below details pay ranges in the following locations: California: $165,800 - $265,625 base salary This role is also eligible for bonus, equity and benefits.
