Provides coaching and training to other financial controls personnel. Acts as lead controls discipline representative on major projects. Establishes and implements cost and planning control policy and procedures. Provides financial guidance, coaching, input, and training to management and key employees, assisting in achieving short and long-term business strategies. Conducts monthly and ad-hoc meetings on cost control matters.Provides daily oversight of resources for developing and administering strategies, programs, policies, and procedures in assigned areas.Monitors actual project cost and/or work status, ensuring projects proceed on schedule and within budget. Provides status reports and updates to management and assist with ad hoc financial analysis. Develops and reviews project estimates, schedules, work breakdown structures (WBS), and capital budgets. Analyzes monthly cost variances.Interfaces and coordinates with other corporate and operations groups.Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & ExperienceThe knowledge, skills, abilities and experiences that are required for entry into this job include the following:-7-8+ years of experience financial management and analysis, accounting standards and practices, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, FERC and SEC accounting-Knowledge and experience in financial planning and analysis-Experience in implementing new accounting standards-Excellent leadership, organization and interpersonal skills-Excellent oral and written communication skills-Excellent analytical skills-Demonstrated ability to be customer-focused in a large organization-Excellent ability to work under own initiative and tight deadlines-Extensive knowledge of Excel, macros, Powerpoint and SAP (or other financial databases), PowerBI/QueryEducation RequirementsDegree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education:BachelorPreferred Disciplines: Accounting, BusinessOther disciplines may be substituted for the preferred discipline(s) listed aboveLicenses, Certifications, or Quals DescriptionWorking ConditionsOffice Work Environment 76 -100%Travel Up to 25%Other Working ConditionsTest DescriptionNo Testing RequiredExport ControlCertain positions at Dominion Energy may involve access to information and technology subject to export controls under U.S. law.
