About The TeamDoorDash is a growth engine for the local economy, and the Merchant Onboarding & Activation team is responsible for the first step in every merchant’s journey to be a part of that growth. This team is dedicated to empowering merchants with a seamless path to sign, activate, and be successful from day one. Every merchant (from restaurants to grocery stores to flower shops) must be able to sign up for DoorDash easily, whether through self-serve flows, Sales-assisted flows, or via integrations with POS providers. Once on DoorDash, this team ensures that merchants are set up to be successful through education and best practices. We believe that if we fulfill our mission, merchants will understand the value of DoorDash, onboard instantly, and be well on their way to taking orders and growing their business.About The RoleAs the Senior Product Designer for Merchant Onboarding & Activation, you’ll define the user experience for merchants to discover DoorDash, onboard, and set themselves up for success. You’ll be responsible for influencing the strategic direction of the team, and will be involved in the entire product development process from research to creating visions to iterating on experiences for launch. Your success requires being able to navigate low- and high-altitude work simultaneously, balancing short-term tactical experiments with long-term strategic bets. You’ll need to be passionate about helping merchants succeed, as you’ll be expected to drive design strategy with sometimes ambiguous starting points, using data, running experiments, and building business cases to influence the roadmap of the team.You will report to the Director of Design, Merchant Success & Experience. Base salary is localized according to an employee’s work location.
