The DubClub founding team played football and baseball together at Stanford, then remained friends after college. Like many sports bettors and sports fans, we triumphed together. But we also lost together. Through it all, we did our best to utilize the timely information shared by countless premium sports content creators (known as “cappers”) to better inform our bets. Input from cappers was useful, but the methods to receive their timely content containing betting advice were unreliable. We found ourselves refreshing websites, sifting through timelines, and jumping in and out of Discord servers.
When we paid cappers for their advice, a great dynamic ensued. Cappers made money from our payment for their content, and we lost money less frequently. Thus, DubClub was born to make cappers more money and enable their subscribers to receive valuable content reliably.
Since our founding, we have facilitated over $50 million in subscription payments for cappers and delivered hundreds of millions of messages containing informational sports betting content. People are making more money and more informed betting decisions with DubClub.

Role Context and Overview:
The company was founded in late 2021 by three experienced business leaders who have established a performant and scalable Go To Market motion complemented by strong, no cost viral loops on the backs of our MVP. Our MVP was built with a small but mighty team of engineers, with development leadership from the founder/CEO. The product is primarily accessible via the web at dubclub.win with a companion mobile app for subscriber content delivery (known as the DubClub Plays App).
As our first-ever Product Marketer, you’ll play a crucial role in shaping how sports content creator “CEOs” experience and engage with the DubClub product experience. This is a unique, highly visible IC role, designed for someone who thrives on product-led growth and deeply understands user needs. You’ll be responsible for driving creator engagement and retention post-sale, ensuring these creators maximize the DubClub platform to grow their revenue. With your guidance, our product org will be empowered to execute strategies that resonate with users and align with our product roadmap.
You’re a product-minded strategist who values in-product optimization over “quick-win” marketing tactics. You understand that external communication channels can support growth but believe that the primary driver of success will be our product itself.
Your #1 Priority: For the foreseeable future, you will be responsible for increasing the usage of our product by creators on DubClub. Specifically, after 90 days you will be expected to have begun executing against a plan devised by you to increase the % of creator DAU/MAU on DubClub. Why? Individual Contributor First: Lead from the front as a builder who leads by doing – no job is beneath you, and you understand that to build something great, you have to understand our users; this involves getting in the weeds early and often.
Translate Product Vision Into Product: Collaborate closely with our CEO to translate our product vision into the product experience; own and execute product-centric marketing strategies that lean into the psyche of our users; more usage translates to more creators generating sales, which leads to more revenue for DubClub.
Insight-Driven Strategy: Analyze usage data, conduct user interviews, and generate insights to identify friction points and opportunities for improvement within the product. Use these insights to execute against your plan.

Product-Centric Mindset: You prioritize a product-first approach and view external marketing tactics as complementary rather than primary tools for engagement.
Strategic Marketing Experience: Proven success in driving product adoption in a growth-stage environment, ideally with experience in a Series A/B startup or tech-driven organization.
User-First Approach: A deep empathy for users and an ability to identify how to meet them where they are, focusing on creating a product experience that naturally drives engagement.
Analytical Rigor: Ability to leverage data and user insights to guide strategy and decision-making, constantly testing and iterating to optimize partner success on DubClub.
Collaborative Spirit: Excellent cross-functional communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with product, engineering, design, and customer success teams.
Qualifications
Minimum of 2 days per week in our San Francisco office (4 blocks from Giants stadium).
5+ years of startup experience in product marketing or product roles.
Proven experience driving in-product adoption and engagement, ideally with a user-first, data-informed approach.
Passion for the sports content or creator economy, with an understanding of the unique needs of content creators and entrepreneurs.
Comfort in a fast-paced, startup environment with a proactive approach to solving problems for our users.
