Summary
Manages Gallo’s digital shelf on external e-commerce sites. Partners with Sales and Marketing teams, IT, and external vendors to fully manage Gallo’s e-commerce digital shelf capabilities and execution, including digital shelf auditing and content syndication.
Essential Functions

Holistically owns Gallo’s Digital Shelf on external e-commerce sites, including content depth and accuracy. Develops the supporting systems, processes, and tools to enable efficient, optimized, and accurate management of the digital shelf across a complex portfolio of products and a complex network or retailers.

Manages vendor relationships with Content Syndication partners and Digital Shelf Auditing partners. Negotiates annual contracts, addresses vendor performance issues, and holds vendors accountable.

Manages connections of technology vendors with Gallo’s IT team. Communicates and prioritizes initiatives for IT, serving as the “voice of the business” for technology projects related to digital shelf management.

Serves as the power user for Syndigo and Salsify to include responsibility for uploading and maintaining all e-retail content for Gallo portfolio in the content management system, to include copy, bottle shots, mobile hero images, secondary images, and below-the-fold content. Ensures accuracy, relevance and effectiveness of all Gallo content loaded into Syndigo and Salsify.

Makes content updates on retailer sites and 3rd party marketplaces, including Syndigo/Salsify partner retailers and retailers/marketplaces that require manual content updates. Reformat assets, convert and retitle images to meet retailer specs, create URL links, adjust copy and product titles to meet retailer specs, and populate additional fields required by retailers.

Builds custom templates in Syndigo and Salsify, when necessary, for retailers or third party platforms.

Collaborates cross-functionally with Marketing, Commerce Marketing, Creative Services, and external agencies to ensure that E-Commerce team has the correct assets for syndication to e-retail sites, clearly communicating all content needs and securing all necessary content.

Serves as the Digital Shelf Auditing Tool Power User which includes leveraging auditing platform and associated tools to identify opportunities for improving Gallo’s digital shelf on external e-commerce sites, auditing content regularly to ensure that no outdated content is live on external e-commerce sites (old packaging, images we no longer have rights to use, old accolades that are out of Compliance, etc.), developing retailer-specific digital shelf insights, opportunities and action plans.

Develops tight feedback loop for identifying all content issues via Digital Shelf Auditing and addressing all content issues within two weeks.

Tracks digital shelf performance and recaps impact of Gallo and retailer digital shelf improvement initiatives.

Compiles best practices and case studies.

Audits competitive e-commerce content and conducts ongoing research and benchmarking across categories to determine best-in-class practices for product detail pages and improve Winery capabilities for e-commerce product detail page content. Acts as subject-matter-expert within the Winery for digital shelf content best practices, across competitors and categories, both within and outside our category.

Supports E-Commerce Regional team, Customer Development Sales team, and Distributor Management Sales team with customer-specific content projects and content needs.

Investigates and resolves content issues on e-retail sites.

Communicates with appropriate internal teams when new digital product content assets are available. Provides consultation and advice to E-Retail sales team.

Optimizes e-retail product page keywords, titles and copy to improve search ranking performance.

Responsible for understanding and complying with applicable quality, environmental and safety regulatory considerations. If accountable for the work of others, responsible for ensuring their understanding and compliance.
Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate.

Bachelor’s degree plus 5 years Gallo winery IT, Marketing, Sales or Gallo affiliated or non-affiliated distributor sales experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR Bachelor’s degree plus 5 years of E-Commerce experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR High School Diploma or State-Issued equivalent certificate plus 9 years of E-Commerce experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.

Strong attention to detail while handling numerous projects with firm deadlines.

Strong writing skills, with high standards for spelling, grammar and accuracy.

Strong communication skills, updating stakeholders on project status

Experience effectively presenting information and responding to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Project management experience.

Computer skill requirements include: Basic MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, IT, or a similar field, plus 7 years of Gallo sales experience to include a rotation in Marketing or IT or Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, IT, or a similar field plus 5 years of E-Commerce experience.
- Experience with e-commerce content syndication and digital shelf auditing technologies (Syndigo, Salsify, Profitero, Edge by Ascential, ChannelAdvisor, e.Fundamentals by CommerceIQ, etc.)
- Hands-on experience working with e-commerce Product Detail pages.
- Product knowledge of Gallo portfolio
- Experience interpreting an extensive variety of technical instructions.
- Experience collaborating and communicating cross-functionally, coordinating projects across multiple departments

Knowledge of and experience with applying the fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of this particular field of specialization.
- Skilled in written and verbal communications, organization and time management, and problem solving.

Compensation

Hiring Salary Range: $95,800 - $143,600/Year

Actual compensation amount paid may be lower or higher to be determined by factors other than race and gender such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
