Position could be worked out of the Bay Area in California or New York, but will need to be in telecommuting distance to Modesto, CA or New York, NY.
Summary
Responsible for hands on development, management, execution, and optimization of Paid Search and Paid Social campaigns for an assigned portfolio of brands, with a large emphasis on Search. Partners with key decision makers within business and creative teams to develop and curate accurate advertisement content for placement on targeted media platforms based on business objectives. Works closely with desired media platforms to optimize campaigns and achieve desired ROAS targets. Leads and executes day-to-day campaign management while demonstrating the ability to think strategically for the broader success of the performance marketing program. Responsible for analyzing data, identifying trends, devising strategic plans & implementing optimizations to enhance campaign effectiveness. Serves as a subject matter expert and partner to our Brand Marketing teams, driving both the strategy and execution of paid media initiatives to meet business objectives.
Essential Functions

Partners closely with Brand Marketing, Gallo Paid Media, external agency & other cross-functional teams to plan, develop and implement integrated marketing campaigns that achieve campaign and business objectives.

Collaborates with external agency & internal Paid Media team by actively participating in planning and strategy meetings to seamlessly integrate internally managed channels (Paid Search) into the comprehensive media plan.
- Manages all aspects of paid search and paid social campaigns, including but not limited to, strategic planning, keyword and audience research, data-led insights, ongoing optimizations, A/B testing, budget management, and creative ideation.

Proactively seeks opportunities to evolve performance by developing & implementing new strategies, optimizations, and A/B tests, ensuring we achieve KPI’s and media efficiency targets (ROAS, CTR, etc.)

Creates and delivers campaign performance reports and leads performance discussions with internal stakeholders including results, insights, and recommended optimizations.
- Monitors campaign performance and pacing to goals, performs recurrent and ad hoc analysis, and flags opportunities to grow or optimize performance across channels and tactics.
- Identifies and advocates for media strategies and tactics that drive the highest ROAS and links media delivery and insights to brand objectives and results.

Partner with internal and external creative teams to create relevant, data-driven ads that drive performance and meet platform best practices.

Maintains a solid understanding of compliance within the alcohol beverage industry ensuring that all media strategies and activities are fully compliant.
- Participates as part of the Agile team in sprint planning sessions and meetings as needed.

Responsible for understanding and complying with applicable quality, environmental and safety regulatory considerations. If accountable for the work of others, responsible for ensuring their understanding and compliance.
Minimum Qualifications
-
Master’s degree plus 3 years of performance media experience to include paid search and social planning and buying, reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR Bachelor’s degree plus 5 years of performance media experience to include paid search/social planning and buying, reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.

Exceptional understanding of all aspects of digital marketing and analytics

Proficient with PPC tools and hands-on operational experience in ad platforms (e.g. Google Ads, Bing Ads, Facebook Ads Manager, etc.)

Paid search expertise including account structures, keyword strategies, script development, or account automation tools, and related products, e.g. Google Shopping

Proven experience in effectively managing paid search campaigns
- Experience working with multi-disciplinary teams of media, marketers, and analytics.

Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to drive decisions.
- Strong presentation skills and executive presence to garner support from marketing teams/leadership and persuade them on media recommendations.

Significant organizational skills to work effectively in a fast paced, high campaign volume environment demanding quick responses.

Strong work ethic with capacity and ability to operate independently and collaboratively in teams with a high attention to detail.

Ability to prioritize and deliver multiple products or services concurrently under time constraints.

Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree plus 7 years of digital marketing experience to include paid search and social media planning and buying reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.

Active certifications for Google Ads, Meta, and Google Analytics.

Experience working for an agency, Alcohol beverage or CPG company.
-
Experience and proven success managing a large portfolio of brands with a wide variety of budgets and KPIs.
- Experience adopting new technology based on trends.
Compensation
-
Hiring Salary Range: $95,800 - $143,600/Year.
-
Actual compensation amount paid may be lower or higher to be determined by factors other than race and gender such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
