e-Learning Course Developer (R23-12) ***2 Positions Available**

The Professional Development Program of the University at Albany's Rockefeller College is seeking a motivated e-Learning Course Developer. This individual will write, design, develop, and maintain curricula for web-based, asynchronous training targeted for State, social services district, local agency, and other staff. Two positions available. Both positions feature an added, one-time $1,500 sign-on bonus payable after successful completion of a six-month orientation period.

Description of Duties:

  • Work with sponsors, subject matter experts, and other available resources to develop and update curricula for asynchronous web-based trainings.
  • Collaborate with managers, developers, program sponsors, and subject matter experts to conceptualize, plan, and execute projects. Create design documents, storyboards, flowcharts, scripts, and prototypes. Recommend instructional and technical approaches to meet project deliverables.
  • Develop, update, and maintain web-based trainings and training portal content.
  • Conduct usability and web accessibility tests. Generate test result reports and related documentation.
  • Provide technical support to end users.
  • Develop and apply standards across a range of projects through documentation and project evaluation sessions.
  • Research and recommend best practices and appropriate technologies to enhance web-based learning components and approaches.

Job Requirements:


Minimum Qualifications
:

  • Bachelor's degree from a college or university accredited by USDOE or an internationally recognized accrediting organization.
  • Three years of experience developing instructional or training curriculum materials.
  • One year of experience in instructional technology.
  • Thorough knowledge of instructional design for asynchronous web-based trainings.
  • Understanding of web standards, including usability and web content accessibility guidelines.
  • Experience developing e-learning using HTML, Lectora, or equivalent authoring tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure, and meet posted deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new tools and technologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with culturally diverse groups.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree from a college or university accredited by a USDOE or an internationally recognized accrediting organization.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in HTML and related web coding languages.

Additional Information:


Salary Range
: $63,000 - $64,328
