Pros

I love my job - every day is a new challenge or interesting new project. The people who work here are kind, compassionate and curious. Lots of opportunities for people who want to roll up their sleeves and work hard.

Cons

We are getting big, so it can be some upkeep to get to know new people all the time.

Our people are the hero in our story

Whether they are handling a claim, answering a billing question or providing risk management advice, our people are empathetic and focused on doing the right thing, always. They are often the ones who are there for our members on their darkest days—after a car accident, when a treasured piece of art is damaged or when a home is lost in a fire. Regardless of if they are interacting with members, brokers or vendor partners, our people are solution-oriented, passionate, curious and proud of the work that they do.

We are deeply committed to fostering a work environment where everyone has an equal chance to learn, develop and succeed. We strive to make sure all feel welcome, safe and supported to do their best work and bring their whole self to PURE. One of the ways we accomplish this is through Employee Resource Groups (ERGs). We currently have seven ERGs and 44% of employees participate in at least one of these groups.

Commitment to career & personal growth

We encourage and provide employees with resources and support to create their own journeys. That means pursuing their passions and becoming an expert in their craft, both professionally and personally.

We provide up to $5,250 per year for educational courses through an accredited institution, $1,500 of which may be used for non-work related or "passion" courses to invest in your development outside of work. Employees have the opportunity to take part in mentor groups, co-worker coffees and job shadowing to gain insights into other areas of the business, explore career tracks, and create a broader sense of community.

A growing company

PURE has grown by 15% or more in each year since inception in 2006. In 2019, PURE’s management company was acquired by Tokio Marine, one of the most respected insurance companies in the world, adding to our stability and financial strength.
