Our portfolio companies employ in excess of 4000 people, with the central BC team itself numbering 350 - and all are scaling up rapidly. Our assets under management are in excess of £1.5 billion.

We are heading into a period of ambitious scaling at Blenheim Chalcot and across our businesses, in existing and new geographies. As a result, BCI, the private credit fund sitting within Blenheim Chalcot, are hiring for a new EA and Investor Relations Assistant to join their team.

BCI, whose vision is to be a facilitator of growth in fintech, is eager to speak with candidates who are looking for more than a conventional EA role. Applicants should be excited about the opportunity to grow across other key areas of BCI's business (including investor relations, marketing and events), as well as playing a central role in developing the business's brand and culture.


Who we are looking for:

We are looking for a go-getting, rockstar EA & Investor Relations Assistant to join the BCI team. As well supporting our Managing Director, you'll have the opportunity gain experience across key areas of our business such as investor relations, marketing, HR and events management.

As a growing and entrepreneurial business, we can offer you the opportunity to take ownership and fast-track your growth beyond the boundaries of a typical EA role. We are looking to meet with enthusiastic candidates who, if successful, would be be willing to roll up their sleeves to help us drive the growth of the business.


Who we are:

BCI's vision is to be a facilitator of growth in fintech. We run strategies specialising in private credit investments, lending ahead of the curve to provide disruptive fintech businesses with timely and flexible access to debt as they scale.

BCI is part of Blenheim Chalcot, the UK's leading digital venture builder. By partnering with us a developing fintech is able to work collaboratively with an empathetic funder, familiar with the challenges of building businesses. We look to build long-term borrower relationships and can support them across numerous stages as they grow.

Our primary fund, the Credit Opportunities Fund, was established in 2011 and has since built a strong track record. This would be an exciting time to join BCI as we work to drive growth in our core business, as well as strategically capitalise on the significant opportunities afforded by our distinctive model and market positioning.


The Opportunity:

The BCI team are given high levels of responsibility with clear opportunity to develop, achieve career progression and take ownership of key deliverables. Being part of the Blenheim Chalcot network also provides exposure to an entrepreneurial, learning culture and a range of innovative early-stage businesses.

The EA and Investor Relations Assistant will play a pivotal role in ensuring that BCI's day-to-day operations run smoothly, as well helping us to deliver on key initiatives that enable us to grow our brand, team culture and investor network.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing Director assistance
  • Sole responsibility for diary management and the coordination of meetings (internal, external and quarterly boards)
  • Facilitating the seamless running of every day – greeting guests, preparing meeting rooms, ordering catering etc
  • Coordinating travel plans and business expenses
  • Business support such as collating information, preparing information packs, producing minutes and driving actions forward
  • General administrative duties
  • Investor relations, marketing and events management
  • Taking ownership of the management of our CRM system and distribution lists
  • Quarterbacking the flow of communications with existing and prospective investors, including the facilitation and detailed tracking of investor meetings
  • Leading the administrative onboarding of new investors into our network, including desk research prior to meetings with new parties
  • Helping to plan and deliver high quality events for internal and external stakeholders
  • Co-managing our LinkedIn page and website, and proposing ideas for value-added marketing collateral
  • HR and office management
  • Planning and organising quarterly team events, helping to develop team culture
  • Liaising both internally and externally with key stakeholders
  • Playing a key role in the team's annual review and goal setting process
  • Coordinating with our Learning & Development training providers in managing team training
  • Facilitating the onboarding and induction of new team members
  • Coordinating with our IT and building support staff to cater for the team's needs
  • Assisting the wider team with ad hoc tasks and projects

About you:

Skills & Experience:

  • This role would likely suit candidates with three plus years of professional experience within an EA / Office Manager role, though we encourage applications from candidates from all professional backgrounds / levels of experience
  • University results equivalent to a UK 2:1 or above, or equivalent life experiences, are preferred
  • Desirable technical/specialist knowledge and skills:
    • First-rate written and verbal English, comfortable with drafting professional correspondence
    • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
    • Proficiency in managing CRM systems (preferably Salesforce-based)
    • Experience managing social media platforms (LinkedIn)
