South Dakota State University is currently seeking an early childhood professional with a passion for helping others to serve as an Early Childhood Training Specialist. The Child and Family Resource Network was established in 1990 as an outreach office at South Dakota State University to provide information and resources for users and providers of childcare and their families. Currently, the Child and Family Resource Network is a state and locally supported Early Childhood Enrichment (ECE) program which provides training, education and resources to adults who are involved in the day-to-day care of children and youth in a 13-county area of South Dakota.
Job Responsibilities: To promote and implement the Early Childhood Enrichment model of delivery of services to caregivers, parents, and professionals who serve children and families in South Dakota. To support, train and assist them in their efforts to provide the quality of care in childcare and out-of-school time settings. This may include observing, assessing, documenting, planning, implementing recommendations, and evaluating activities to support many of the following types of care to include registered family child care homes, licensed child care centers, and a licensed out of school time programs.
