Field Hardware Technician (Security Systems Integrator - Access Control & Video

We are seeking a skilled Field Hardware Technician to join our team as part of a leading Security Systems Integrator. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining hardware for access control and video surveillance systems. While the primary focus is on hardware, proficiency with related software and technology is critical for success in this role.

Primary Responsibilities

Access Control Hardware Installation & Maintenance

  • Install and maintain access control systems, including readerscontrollerselectronic locks, contact sensor, relays and request-to-exit devices.
  • Evaluate scope of work provided by operations to deploy provided access control hardware solutions.
  • Perform system upgrades and replacements to ensure optimal functionality.

Video Surveillance System Hardware

  • Install and configure video surveillance equipment, such as camerascamera mounts, NVRs, and related infrastructure.
  • Conduct troubleshooting and repairs on video surveillance hardware.
  • Ensure proper alignment, focus, and integration of video hardware with system software.

System Integration & Support

  • Integrate access control hardware with video surveillance systems for seamless operation.
  • Collaborate with software technicians to ensure hardware and software compatibility.

Additional Hardware-Related Tasks

  • Perform low-voltage cabling, including termination and testing.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with power supplies, networked devices, and system connectivity.
  • Conduct site surveys to assess installation conditions and requirements.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience with low-voltage systems in access control and video surveillance applications.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard hardware and best practices for installation and maintenance.
  • Comfortable working with software tools and configurations related to access control and video surveillance systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills to interface with clients on-site.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Must be willing and able to travel to client sites as required.
  • Legally eligible to work in the U.S.
  • Able to pass a background investigation and drug screening.
  • Currently has or is willing to obtain a COVID-19 vaccination.
