Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Coordinator

This role is open to be based from: Washington, D.C.; New York City, NY; Chicago, IL; Los Angeles, CA; San Francisco, CA; Portland, OR; Seattle, WA

As a Coordinator with the Global Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) team, you’ll work with internal and external stakeholders to advance our DEI strategy and efforts. You’ll conduct research, track best practices, and serve as knowledge manager for the team. You’ll assist with event planning and execution, message and materials development, and will serve as an instrumental part of the team’s overall operations. In this role, you’ll build a strong foundation in effectively advancing global DEI goals and programs, partnering with Edelman colleagues at all levels across the global network.

Responsibilities:

    • Conduct research and monitor DEI trends
    • Assist with team operations
    • Develop communications materials
    • Support development and execution of events
    • Maintain project tracking and management
    • Update DEI SharePoint site
    • Maintain team documents, resources and archives site
    • Establish and maintain calendar of DEI observances
    • Assist with DEI-related events and observances
    • Support Employee Network Groups
    • Work with DEI team with ad hoc assignments

Basic Qualifications:

    • At least 2 years of work experience in Human Resources or a related field.
    • A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from an accredited college or university
    • Candidates should demonstrate an interest in and understanding of DEI or the communications marketing industry and basic principles of DEI.

Preferred Qualifications:

    • Candidates should demonstrate an interest in and understanding of DEI or the communications marketing industry and basic principles of DEI.
    • Previous experience in DEI, HR or Communications Marketing, and/or related fields
    • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and written and oral communication skills
    • Ability to adapt to various deadlines and assignments
    • Solid knowledge of the MS Office suite
    • Demonstrated strong work ethic and the ability to provide quality work to stakeholders and teams
$42,000 - $70,000 a year
An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of DJEH’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, a Paid Time Off policy, and region-specific benefits.
