About the role
Morning Brew’s B2C department spans newsletters, podcasts, video series, creators, design, and social media, and the team is looking for an organized, operations-minded person to work closely with the Director of Content Operations to help manage the many processes that go into creating and distributing the Brew’s great content.
The ideal candidate is as cool as a cucumber, has the gift of gab, can connect seemingly disparate dots, and is the very definition of organized. Besides being an exceptional communicator who can manage up, down, and sideways, you’ll also be the point of contact between editorial teams and sales, marketing, account management, product, design, and growth.
Morning Brew is based in New York City but this role is remote-friendly for all candidates.
What you'll do:
As the first— and often final—point of contact between teams, you will:
- Project manage the launch of new podcasts, video series, and editorial packages
- Manage the onboarding flow of new writers and producers, in conjunction with the editorial department lead
- Work closely with post-sales team to schedule editorial components in campaigns, and make sure these components are delivered on time
- Ensure pre-sales teams have the information they need to go to market with content initiatives
- Work with the Director of Content Operations to build new scalable workflows and optimize existing processes
- Oversee updates to various team documentation, including onboarding, style guide, standards and ethics guide, etc.
- Work with the product team on evolving editorial production tech (and associated production flow)
- Work with the growth team to ensure relevant data is turned into insights and action and maintain the cross-promotion calendar between various verticals
- Support internship program
About you
- Minimum 5 years experience managing processes and systems
- Experience managing through hierarchy and multiple stakeholders, with a bias toward action
- Proven history of building strong working relationships with colleagues and teams across an organization
- Ability to independently manage multiple-task projects and to set and meet deadlines
- Strong organizational and communications skills, with an impeccable ability to sweat the small stuff as much as the big picture
- Experience with and enthusiasm for quality journalism and operations is strongly desired
- Experience with Monday.com or other project management tools is a priority
- Experience working within a media company and within an editorial CMS is a plus
