TNA is currently looking for an Electrical Engineer I for our Plant Maintenance and Engineering department. Our vision for this position is to support Maintenance, Engineering, and Reliability teams to assure machines and systems are installed and maintained using best practices to provide world-class reliability, availability, and productivity of manufacturing and transport equipment by performing duties described below.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES are as follows:
- As a member of project teams, contributes value-added work in developing, vetting, implementing, and verifying engineered solutions to enhance productivity and reliability of manufacturing equipment. Project roles may vary.
- Interfaces with engineers, contractors, maintenance personnel, and vendors concerning the design, implementation, and maintenance of electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems to ensure all are process capable, available, reliable, and sustainable.
- Develops and propagates limited-scope PLC / HMI program changes, device installations, and wiring modifications as required.
- Provides troubleshooting support for automation and IT/Plant Floor interface issues during scheduled working hours. May be requested for call-in support outside normal work schedule.
- Installs, tests, and maintains large-scale electronic equipment or machinery for use in manufacturing.
- Actively participates in Continuous Improvement / Kaizen events.
- Assignments will increase in complexity based on demonstrated proficiency and experience.
- Other tasks as may be assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or electrical Engineering Technology from an accredited four-year college or university.
- Preference for candidates who have completed a co-op program with secondary consideration for in-discipline internship experience. Work in a manufacturing setting is a plus as well.
- 0-3 years’ experience.
