Chapin is currently seeking an Electrical/Mechanical Maintenance Technician for its manufacturing plant in Mount Vernon, KY.

The ideal candidate, for Electrical/Mechanical Maintenance will have the ability to perform work assignments such as:

• Perform all routine maintenance including painting, plumbing, electrical troubleshooting, repair, wiring, HVAC and other related maintenance activities, which may include outside cleaning duties.
• Repair critical equipment, perform preventative and predictive maintenance and completing projects such as mechanical and electrical hardware upgrades.
• Start machines and observe mechanical operation to determine efficiency and to detect problems.
• Dismantle machines and remove parts for repair using hand or power tools.
• Material Handling: transporting of product from point to point within the factory using a tow motor
• Must be able to read Blue prints and schematics
• Must be able to repair motors, conveyors, pumps, and related equipment

Specific skills required: Electrical/Mechanical Maintenance

• Must have experience with machine repair using common power and hand tools
• Electrical/Mechanical Journeyman papers are a plus.
• Experience with troubleshooting to determine the causes of operating errors.
• Automotive repair and maintenance
• Must be able to obtain tow motor drivers license
• Minimum of 7+ years of job-related experience or combination of relevant skills certification and 2+ years of related experience

Electrical/Mechanical Maintenance: Range of pay $18-$24

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
