Elevate K-12 is a Series C funded, rapid growth stage start-up focused on solving the crisis-level teacher shortage in US K-12 schools changing the way classrooms work live, virtual instruction that gives students access to high quality, certified teachers who help them prepare for the world of the future! For our teacher community, we open new work opportunities proprietary platform and curriculum, enabling them to deliver live remote instruction across multiple subjects in elementary, middle, and high schools across the US. Our goal is to enable high quality live teaching for every learner in the U.S., from kindergarten through their first jobs, so they can receive the education they need to identify and pursue their unique passions in life. Position Overview: 

In pursuit of this goal, we are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our technical team as we move from being a tech-enabled service to a tech product company. We are looking for passionate and enthusiastic people who love solving complex business problems and providing excellent technical solutions. Key Responsibilities: 

  • Candidate should have in-depth understanding of Azure and AWS clould provisioning.  
  • Candidate should have good knowledge of underlying infrastructure component features. S/he should be able to support developers to create and manage infra-structure resources with high fluency. 
  • Candidate should have good terraform and Linux shell script coding abilities. 
  • Candidate should have a good understanding of security best practices and a proven track record of solving problems in security domain. 

Qualifications:  

  • BE, B.Tech, MCA, M.Tech, or equivalent Bachelor’s degree 
  • 5+ years of experience in public cloud (AWS/Azure preferred) 
  • 2-5 years of experience in CI/CD pipelines, DevOps, and automation 
  • Proficiency in infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.) 
  • Expertise in high availability, disaster recovery, and backup strategies 
  • Experience in cloud cost optimization 
  • Strong knowledge of networking and firewalls 
  • Experience with security tools (SCPM/SIEM) 
  • Proficiency in monitoring and alert mechanisms 
  • Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills 
  • Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases 
  • Hands-on experience with Jenkins, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Docker, and Kubernetes 
  • Familiarity with Windows and Linux servers 
  • Proficient in documentation and SOP creation 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Day shift role with flexibility for rotational shifts if required based on business needs
