Lilly is seeking a Diversity Talent Scout who shares our passion to make life better for people around the world. As part of our Talent Acquisition team, you will work closely with recruiters and hiring managers and play an integral part in shaping Lilly’s future by identifying and attracting diverse talent to the company. This role will be an extremely instrumental part of the sourcing and recruiting efforts of diverse underrepresented populations.

The Diversity Talent Scout will function as a search and subject matter expert, responsible for working collaboratively to locate and attract diverse scientific talent to Lilly through lead generation, expert sourcing strategies and the ability to research the employment market for a given functional focus.

Other activities include:

  • Build and maintain positive relationships within multicultural-based organizations
  • Attending relevant career fairs to engage diverse talent, brand Lilly and develop new sources within the Latino and other diverse communities both local and national
  • Outreach to diversity associations and organizations for active and passive referrals.
  • Working as a liaison with the Organization of Latinos at Lilly and other Employee Resource Groups to improve employee referrals, sourcing, and inclusion of a diverse set of employees in the recruiting process.
  • Sourcing a diverse pool of candidates using Linked IN, job boards, niche websites, internet searches, CRM system and other passive candidate generation techniques and tools.
  • Providing and applying labor market intelligence and recruitment trends to improve diversity sourcing.
  • Incorporating social media to attract diverse talent and brand Lilly.
  • Managing key vendors of sourcing.
  • Meeting and exceeding annual, monthly, and diversity sourcing objectives to include, but not limited to, leads, contacts, candidates, diversity metrics and hires.
  • Proficient in using technologies to track all sourcing activity/results and leverages systems to continuously build talent pool.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree or High school diploma (or equivalent) with 4 years of work experience
  • 2 or more years of relevant recruiting and/or sourcing experience
  • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. Lilly does not anticipate providing sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B or TN status) for this employment position.
  • This position is not permanent. It is for a fixed duration of two years with potential to extend annually for up to 4 years.

Additional Preferences:

  • Experience recruiting and sourcing R&D Talent
  • Bi-lingual/Fluent in Spanish
  • Some knowledge and insights on the local Latino community with established networks.
  • High level of self initiative with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Strong time management skills with attention to detail
  • Must possess a disciplined work style with the ability to demonstrate urgency with proactive and deadline-driven work
  • Willing and able to adjust to multiple demands and shifting priorities while demonstrating flexibility and resilience
  • Sourcing experience including internet research, search engines, boolean search strings, and data mining.
  • Excellent written and verbal interpersonal communication skills
  • Excellent analytical skills and organizational skills
  • Experience with social media/networking

Additional Information:

  • Travel as required, approximately 10-25%
  • The Role is based in Indianapolis
