Data Analyst (Remote)

This is a full-time remote position, open to candidates based anywhere in South Africa.

Position Overview

As a Data Analyst, you will play a key role in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to support business decisions across various departments, including marketing, sales, and product development. You will be responsible for identifying trends, optimizing processes, and providing actionable insights that drive efficiency and growth.

Responsibilities

• Design and build automated reporting systems in BI tools, ensuring data accuracy, clarity, and usability.
• Develop and enhance data structures to support efficient reporting and analysis processes.
• Perform hypothesis testing to validate business assumptions and identify actionable insights.
• Collaborate with departments to analyze and improve business processes, leveraging tools like Power BI, Google Sheets, SQL, and Excel.

Education: 

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, or similar).

Professional Background: 

At least 3 years of experience in data analysis, reporting, or business intelligence.

Skills: 

• Practical knowledge of BI systems (Power BI experience is essential).
• Experience with Google Sheets for collaborative data analysis and reporting.
• Advanced SQL for querying and data manipulation.
• High proficiency in Excel (including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and data visualization).
• Working knowledge of Python for data analysis, scripting, or workflow automation (is a plus).
• Experience with data integration tools and APIs (is a plus).
