About the role:
The Email Marketing Specialist will be responsible for Actalent’s marketing automation strategy and execution. This individual will create, launch, and optimize lifecycle, batch and dynamic triggered emails (automated programs) for Actalent’s prospective and current customers. This individual will be responsible for identifying and reporting on email objectives as well as staying on top of email marketing trends. They will leverage customer data and insights to develop segmented campaigns to increase engagement and drive business results.
The Email Marketing Automation Specialist will support Actalent for all email marketing needs, working with our Information Systems (IS) team and any vendors to execute campaigns.
This role will partner closely with other members of the Marketing team as well as cross-functional stakeholders and technical partners. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, detail-oriented and creative problem solver. They will be well versed in email marketing and best practices and be motivated to help Actalent grow.
What you'll do:
- Play a leading role in the design and execution of multi-step campaigns out of Salesforce Marketing Cloud
- Create the marketing automation strategy and execution plan
- Manage the email campaign process to include (but not limited to) creating segments, scheduling, planning, appending tracking codes, creative development with design team, set-up, review, QA, deployment, reporting and analysis
- Help identify and develop new email opportunities to increase engagement and traffic
- Ensure campaigns render properly in various email clients on both mobile and desktop
- Monitor and troubleshoot email deliverability issues
- Uphold Brand standards through close coordination and approval from Design and Content teams
- Work with stakeholders through all rounds of proofing, changes and final deployment
- Conduct A/B and multivariate testing of email messages
- Report on KPIs to key stakeholders and provide recommendations to optimize results
- Stay current with industry best practices and competitors’ email programs
- Have a clear understanding of email SPAM laws (US, Canada & Europe) and stay current with industry regulations
About you:
- Functional/Technical Skills:
- Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud preferred
- Working knowledge of HTML

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Marketing/Business
- At least 5 years of experience with email and marketing automation.
- Hands-on experience with platforms such as Real Magnet, Salesforce Marketing Studio, Salesforce Social Studio, etc.
