This position is part of Parker's Electronic Motion & Controls Division (EMC) which provides technologies that create and control motion to customers across a wide range of applications and industries. This position will be part of the Connected Products Center of Excellence (CoE) and will work closely with the Internet of Things (IoT) team. They will be responsible to develop requirements, implement, and test connected products in the mobile controls space. The role will work with cross functional teams across Motion Systems Group to determine requirements and implement them to enable products to be managed on the edge.
Position Summary
As a member of the CoE, the systems engineering Intern will work to extend Parker's offering of digital services relating to connected components in the mobile systems space. Responsibilities may include implementation of CAN protocol stacks, aggregation and display of fault states of devices on the machine's bus, interfacing with IoT gateway and cloud systems, developing vehicle-level OTA systems, and defining communications conventions to ensure interoperability between Parker components (as well as with third party components).
