Ember is looking for a passionate and organized Donor Relations Officer to play a pivotal role in supporting our fundraising efforts and fostering strong relationships with donors. In this position, you will collaborate closely with the Fundraising Manager, COO, MD, and other teams to ensure that our fundraising strategies align with our mission and deliver measurable impact. Your responsibilities will include leading grant reporting processes, conducting rigorous due diligence, and managing biannual impact reports that highlight our progress and achievements. Additionally, you will contribute to monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) initiatives, ensuring that our work is data-driven and continually improving.

Location

This is a remote post, with the ideal candidate based in Asia, Europe or UK.

Key responsibilities

  • Support Ember’s fundraising manager, COO, MD and other Directors and Teams on fundraising, donor relations, impact measurement and MEL (Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning).
  • Lead grant reporting
  • Lead due diligence
  • Lead biannual impact report

Must have

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in donor relations, fundraising and grant management
  • Demonstrated experience with grant reporting, due diligence processes
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to craft compelling reports and correspondence.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in using tools for data management, reporting, and presentation (e.g., Excel, CRM platforms, or impact measurement tools).
  • Knowledge of grant compliance requirements and donor stewardship best practices.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Proactive and resourceful problem-solving abilities.
  • Passionate about the global electricity transition.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.

  • Experience in development of impact report
  • Experience in implementing a new CRM
  • Experience in CRM in general 
  • Experience in monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL)
  • Other language skills (especially in Asia)

Salary: £41,705 - £45,209.  Salaries may be adjusted depending on a location cost of living formula, but will not be below 75% of advertised figure.

Contract:  Full time (but only working 9 days every fortnight with no reduction in pay), permanent subject to a 3 month probationary period.  For employees based outside of the UK, a local payroll contract is available, dependent on the country.
