Job DescriptionThe Opportunity:Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University is currently recruiting for anexperienced Graphic Designer for our Daytona Beach, Campus. TheGraphic Designer is responsible for layout, design and productionof marketing materials that create a consistent image in support ofuniversity marketing and branding strategies. This is a full-time,on-site, administrative and professional staff position, reportingto the Associate Director of Creative Strategy and BrandManagement. The Graphic Designer is a self-sufficient designer withan excellent portfolio, a strong sense of typography and extremelydetail-oriented.This position will be responsible for developing innovative designsolutions and collaborating with clients to address communicationneeds while working within a group of creative professionals in ateam environment. The position functions as a creative contributorto various teams and individuals in a collaborative officeenvironment.A strong understanding of complex audiences in a higher educationinstitution (including prospective students, donors, faculty,staff, parents and alumni) is preferred.The Graphic Designer demonstrates flexibility, innovation, and aninterest in continued professional growth and learning; evidence ofsuccessful project management; and the ability to establish strong,positive relationships with all campus community members. The highvolume and broad scope of work associated with this position alsorequire a person who can focus on a specific creative endeavorwhile managing multiple projects.Responsibilities include the following:• Design a variety of print marketing and promotional collateralthat include such items as campaigns, brochures, flyers, academiccatalogs, billboards, posters and advertisements.• Collaborate with creative team staff and marketing team todevelop creative ideas and concepts, choosing the appropriate mediaand style to meet objectives of both internal and externalaudiences.• Prepare quote specifications for external vendors, printers,photographers, exhibit companies and promotional merchandisers andthen communicate with them to ensure materials are printedcorrectly and timely to meet deadlines.• Prepare accurate and efficient design files to produce finalelectronic files for prepress and printing as well as press checkswith external vendors.About Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University:At Embry-Riddle, we take pride in our position as the world'slargest and most comprehensive university dedicated to aviation andaerospace.
