Provides assistance with embryology services. Participates in routine clinical laboratory procedures such as egg retrievals, embryo transfers, In Vitro Fertilization (IVF), fertilization of eggs, intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI), assisted hatching (AH), sperm preparation, embryo culturing, embryo evaluation and monitoring, including cryopreservation and cryostorage of embryos, eggs and sperm. Adheres to all local/state/federal regulations, codes, policies and procedures to ensure patient privacy and maintain the highest level of quality control and assurance. Assist Principal Investigators (PIs) with various embryonic research projects.Job Description:
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's: Biology, chemistry, epidemiology, medical technology, physical science, reproductive laboratory science or related field or equivalent education/experience
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
Demonstrated proficiency in routine assisted reproductive technology (ART) lab procedures, including tissue culture, andrology, semen analysis, egg retrieval, assessment, and transfer, sperm and embryo cryopreservation and micromanipulation.
Working knowledge of healthcare industry, including current trends and best practices regarding IVF procedures, patient privacy, and local/state/federal regulations.
Superior attention to detail with time management and organizational skills.
Solid knowledge of computer applications, such as word processing, spreadsheet design, and database application.
Prioritize assignments under varied and urgent conditions and work within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
Use existing procedures to identify and solve routine or standard problems.
Analyze lab data and clearly understand and respond to test results.
Build working partnerships within the team unit department and with other healthcare providers to achieve departmental and corporate objectives.
Pay Range: $36.46 - $45.57 / hour
The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs.
