Our hardware team is growing and we are looking for an EMC Test Engineer to join us. You will have a significant presence in the testing stages of product development.
- As a part of EMC team, contribute to troubleshooting, design verification efforts, and setting up EMC guidelines for cross functional teams
- Represent EMC challenges in vehicle packaging studies and reviews
- Create data driven EMC guidelines for Nuro and its vendors
- Work cross-functionally to implement and validate module design with in-house modules and write EMC requirements for vendor modules
- Work with outside test labs to perform validation for all in-house designed modules and inspect the work of vendor's products
- Help manage, and run a sound EMC test lab that supports a variety of testing standards for RE, RI, CE, CI, ESD, and so on; also be familiar with setting up and running these tests
- Familiarity with calibration techniques and uses of a variety of test equipment like spectrum analyzers, signal generators, isotropic field probes, RF amplifiers and GTEMs
- Develop ways to automate/improve testing repeatability and correlation to outside test labs
- Present data from testing in a concise and coherent manner using Google Suite products
- Degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years proven professional work experience in engineering, preferably in a field where you have worked on large, complex integrated projects
- Experience with some electromagnetic modeling/simulation and/or instrument automation and scripting tools (ex. Q3d, HFSS, ADS, CST, Spice, Python, Tile!, etc.)
- Must possess a good understanding of, and preferably hands-on experience with, making EMC measurements with a variety of equipment
- Hands on experience in debugging EMI issues and identifying solutions
- Knowledge of some automotive EMC is helpful
- Can-do attitude and strong desire to win
- Comfortable and excited to work in a dynamic start-up environment advancing projects from concept/development phase through launch and mass production
