As a Specialist of FP&A Operations, you will be responsible for financial / budget coordination and input, forecasting, reporting, analysis and cost control functions for GTM. Incumbent will use knowledge of financial and accounting principles, processes and reporting requirements to support management decision-making and provide support, training and guidance to Regional Advisors/Analysts. Ensures that key financial reporting deadlines are met, financial reports are accurate and complete and financial/accounting issues are resolved in a timely manner. If this sounds like something that you would be interested in, you may be good fit for our FP&A Operations Specialist position.See below to understand the full scope, and we look forward to your application!What You Will Do:• Operations and Maintenance: Coordinate and prepare GTM operations cash flow/ budget/forecast and report variance and exceptions to Management. Provide regular consolidated variance/ forecasting changes to FP&A and resolve any coding or other classification issues. Provide recommendations to mitigate trends, optimize risk and capital spend.• Capital Budget: Support Regions in coordination and preparation of budget proposals, forecasting and variance reporting to FP&A / AIPM.• Mentor and develop Regional Advisors/Analysts to ensure consistency in processes and reporting.• Provide training and guidance to GTM Advisors/Analysts in matters relating to budget and forecast preparation, recording, tracking, and categorizing costs.• Support identification and tracking of cost saving and spend initiatives to assist in meeting GTM budget targets and requirements.• Liaison Function: Provide assistance and interfacing between GTM Operations and FP&A / Accounting / AIPM and others as needed.• Use deep knowledge of FERC accounting application to provide guidance to Operations and FP&A team members, act as SME for POET derivation with Work Management department, and audit time reporting for POET accuracy.• Act as super user for Workforce Budgeting supporting GTM US Operations.• Coordinate special reporting requirements, such as joint venture budget presentation and forecast updates, data requests to support rate filings and customer meetings as required.• Provide guidance on financial/accounting procedures and policies.• Research business issues, complex problems. Provide recommendations for review and implement as required.• Establish and maintain positive working relationships with stakeholders.• Required:• BS/BA degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related discipline and minimum of ten years of directly related experience OR equivalent combination of formal eduction, certification and experience.• 10+ years' experience in data analysis, financial reporting, cash flow analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.• Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.• Strong organizational skills; ability to manage several project deadlines concurrently.• Superior computer skills and advanced knowledge of financial systems.• Knowledge of FERC accounting principles.• Experience with Oracle financials.• Able to work with minimal supervision.• Above average analytical problem solving ability.Working Conditions:• Office role with occasional travel within the United States.• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; use hands to handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.• The employee is required to sit, stand and walk. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
