What You Can ExpectAs our Contracts Intern, at Georgetown University. You will be responsible for support with contract management activities including review of supplier invoices and change orders, generate / review redline documents, participate in preparing bid evaluations for review with stakeholders.Every day you will assist the Capital Projects Contract team with day-to-day sourcing and contracting functions for both the development of Request for Proposals (RFP) and Request for Qualifications (RFQ) and the contracting activities post-award. You will report to the Contracts Advisor. The internship work term will be August 2024 - December 31st, 2024, 20 hours per week minimum.What You’ll Bring• You are an undergraduate junior or senior pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business field, or a Graduate student with a technical or business field from Georgetown University• You have experience with the software included in the Microsoft Office Suite; particularly creation and editing of word documents, spreadsheets and capable of learning procurement software platforms like (ARIBA, COUPA)• You can communicate effectively, both written and verbally; organize and prioritize work and handle multiple tasks• You have knowledge of general procurement processes or business principles• You can coordinate and communicate with project teams and external stakeholders during the initial review, negotiation and finalization of competitive solicitations• You will assist with updating and organizing contract tracking files for various types of contracts• You will conduct market research for labor and materials• You will assist with development of contracting process & quality improvement initiativesAdditional Details• This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy• This role requires attendance at a worksite on a weekly basis• Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license• Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies• Additional hours/weeks may be available based on business needs and will be discussed in advance with your supervisor• Interns must be enrolled students in good standing at the commencement of the intern semesterCompensationHourly Range: $24.00 to $29.50 USD hourlyThis represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.ENGIE complies with all federal, state, and local minimum wage laws.
