Engineer Production

Responsibilities:

The Vinyl Acetate Monomer Production Engineer participates in daily operations of the production unit to effectively utilize unit resources and personnel to achieve safe, reliable operations that meet unit objectives. Identifies areas of improvement, develops and implements recommendations.

Implements operation strategy
Executes Unit Technology Plan
Responsible for Stewardship, Quality, Reliability, and Employee Engagement plan
Engages and interface with process Experts, Team captains, Engineers, EHS manager, Training Coordinator, and Manufacturing Experts/operations
Overseer of Process Safety requirements
Implement flawless daily execution of production plan
Ensure resources, raw materials and supplies are available for unit operation.
Assist into developing unit strategy into operating plan, including Unit Technology Plan (UTP) progression.
Assist DEL into meeting monthly AOP
Review daily KPIs and gaps with team
Planning of emerging needs and non routinely activities
Ensures effective Conduct of Operations system in place for flawless daily execution
Drives consistent and proactive improvement performance
Provides timely and thoughtful response to escalation issues
Perform calculations on releases and spills
Seeks opportunities for improving daily production

Qualifications:

2+ years of experience in chemical production facilities desired
BS in Chemical Engineering or equivalent
Experience in chemical manufacturing processes
Ability to multi-task and handle multiple simultaneous assignments
Proficient computer skills: MS office, PI, DCS
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Robust safety ideology
Able to work independently or a team environment
