Job Summary
We are seeking an Enterprise Monitoring and Disaster Recovery Engineer to oversee our Network Operations Center and lead disaster recovery-business continuity planning efforts.
Work Model
This position will be a hybrid work model and offer partially remote with some onsite work required in El Segundo, CA.
What You’ll Be Doing
  • Provide vendor oversight for our Network Operations center (NOC). Manage the IT alert and escalation process. Establish and maintain SLA and concept of operations documentation for the NOC.
  • Provide direction, training, and leadership to NOC staff, ensuring tasks are completed and processes and procedures are followed according to documented policies and procedures.
  • In collaboration with IT and enterprise application teams gather application and system requirements, write DR plans, document test plans and execute failover/recovery exercises bi-annually in preparation of a major disaster.
  • Lead the management and maintenance of disaster recovery plans (DRP) and recovery systems that support critical applications.
  • Provide expertise and support to IT management and business areas as required when a business disruption occurs. Act as the DR coordinator during an emergency.
  • Coordinate after action report and resolution of issues surfaced during DR exercises and live events.
What You Need to be Successful
Minimum Requirements:
  • 2 years of experience for Staff II; 5 years of experience for Staff III
  • Experience with configuring, and maintaining monitoring and analytical suites such as Splunk and Nagios
  • Experience with alert escalation and reduction of non-critical events
  • Experience with establishing, documenting and maintaining disaster recovery procedures.
  • Working knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems
  • Working knowledge of IT infrastructure components such as: server, load balancer, firewall, DNS, Active Directory, SMTP, Citrix, Backup and storage.
  • Knowledge of ServiceNow, CMDB management, Change management processes as it relates to disaster recovery planning
  • Experience working with datacenter operations (cloud or on-premises)
  • Ability to identify key metrics and reporting methods that lead to actionable operational insight
  • This position requires ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, which is issued by the U.S. government. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, computer information systems, or a related field.
  • Experience with multiple monitoring suites
  • Familiarity with cloud and virtual infrastructure platforms
  • Knowledge of high availability
We offer a competitive compensation package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to our business. The grade-based pay range for this job is listed below. Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skills.

$85,546 - $112,773 - $140,000
Pay Basis: Annual
