Colliers Engineering & Design is looking for an Entry-Level Civil/Site Engineer to join our team in the Newburgh, NY office!

Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university

EIT candidates preferred

Interest in Civil/Site Engineering projects; prior experience preferred but not required

Strong CAD skills, including AutoCAD, HydroCAD, and WaterCAD

Strong Microsoft Office skills

Strong written and oral communication skills

Attention to detail

Proficiency in Civil3D

Land Development project experience
Responsibilities:
- Perform engineering calculations and create estimates
-
Develop drawings by modifying or replicating a prior project, applying changes and corrections from redlined drawings, and/or creating drawings from sketches of others or from own design

Ensure designs are in accordance with company and client production and design standards

Perform QA/QC by verifying design methodology, calculations, outcomes, etc.

Interpret and understand drawings from multiple disciplines for specific projects and respond to requests for information regarding same

Conduct field inspections and surveys, investigate variables, obtain measurements, photographs, videos, and take notes; write reports documenting same

Research and apply code provisions to design

Work with senior engineers to create project designs

Create models, including 3D models

Research design options and document findings for project engineer/manager

Evaluate, select and apply standard engineering techniques and procedures, using own judgement to make adaptations and modifications to existing designs

Assist Project Engineers and leaders as needed in the creation of proposals, client information, and designs
