Job Description
Salary Range: $45,032-$63,000
Perform entry level/developmental Information Systems Security support to the F-35 Integrated Product Team (IPT) at NAWCWD China Lake.
Essential Job Functions:
Support and learn how to implement security requirements and appropriate IT/C policies and procedures that are consistent with the organizations mission and goals.
Support Configuration Management of procedures prior to implementation and contingent upon an established approval process.
Collect and maintain data needed to meet system IT/C reporting.
Support and learn policies and procedures to ensure protection of critical infrastructure.
Support plans of actions and milestones or remediation plans for vulnerabilities identified during risk assessments, audits, inspections, etc.
Support IT/C inspections, tests, and reviews.
Support the integration of continuity planning for systems within the F-35 IPT.
Support development efforts to ensure that baseline security safeguards are appropriately installed.
Participate in an information security risk assessment during the Security Assessment and Authorization process.
Participate in the acquisition process as necessary, learning how to follow appropriate supply chain risk management practices.
Participate in the development or modification of the computer environment cybersecurity security program plans and requirements.
Prepare, distribute, and maintain plans, instructions, guidance, and standard operating procedures concerning the security of network system(s) operations.
Learn to recognize a possible security violation and take appropriate action to report the incident, as required.
Support necessary compliance activities (e.g., ensure system security configuration guidelines are followed, compliance monitoring occurs, etc.)
Required Skills:
Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
High school diploma/GED plus 5 years of experience.
Must be able to be granted a security clearance and maintain one for the duration of employment.
Ability to obtain Security+ and other certifications required to comply with DoD 8140.
Excellent communication skills and able to liaison with outside agencies and ability to work independently.
Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently overcoming obstacles to reach aggressive project schedules.
Possess professionalism, courtesy, high moral character, and integrity.
Continual learner and proactive in seeking knowledge in regard to IT/C standards and processes.
Desired Skills:
Knowledge of Federal, DoD, and USMC Guidance and Certification Accreditation processes.
Entry Level experience with general IA/C Tools and Continuous Monitoring.
Entry Level knowledge of Risk Management Framework.
