We are looking for a Data Engineering Lead to enable growth and excellence on our team.As a Data Engineering Lead at Equip, you’ll have opportunities to oversee the evolution of our data infrastructure and pipelines. Your work will guarantee the availability and reliability of the data that Equip needs to improve patient lives. The right person for this role is a strategic thinker; communicates effectively; works comfortably in fast-paced, rapidly changing environments; and delights in mentoring and guiding others.Responsibilities• Designing and planning data engineering projects• Providing hands-on technical guidance to your team• Maintaining subject matter expertise in the information systems and types of data at Equip• Championing engineering best practices (version control, testing, documentation, logging, continuous integration) and data quality standards• Monitoring key quality metrics and identifying opportunities for improvements in our pipelines and infrastructure• Ensuring the delivery of high-quality work within expected timelines• Partnering with technical stakeholders to optimize the flow of data across systemsQualifications• 5+ years of Data Engineering experience• 1+ years of people management experience• Proven ability to empower others through individual attention, engagement, and direct feedback• SQL and Python expertise• Experience building, maintaining, and orchestrating CI/CD pipelines to collect, process, and store data• Experience ensuring the scalability, reliability, and security of cloud based data systems• Familiarity with large-scale data ingestion, storage, and processing problems• Ability to write clear, maintainable, extensible, and testable code• Experience with Terraform / Infrastructure as Code• Experience developing, testing, deploying, and retrieving data from APIs• Passion for scaling and modernizing systems• Familiarity transforming and analyzing structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data• Experience with Git / GitHub• Experience with cloud infrastructure and AWS services (S3, Glue, Athena)• Experience building dashboards, visualizations, and reports using BI tools (Mode, Tableau, PowerBI, Google Data Studio, Quicksight, etc.)• Experience communicating and collaborating with diverse teams• Organized and results-driven• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment that is subject to rapid change and innovationBonus if you have the following:• Experience with healthcare data and/or previous experience working in healthtech• Experience with data connectors and ingestion tools (Airbyte, Fivetran, etc.)• Experience with dbt• Experience working with FHIR / HL7• Passion for mental health, eating disorder treatment, and expanding access to treatment$140,000 - $180,000 a yearThe salary range for this position in the US is $140,000 - $180,000/yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
