We are looking for an Equity Administrator to join our Finance team. You will oversee equity plan administration, including the Long-Term Incentive Plan and the Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP). You will be an integral part of the Finance and Accounting team and will partner with key stakeholders in our People and Culture (P&C) and Legal teams in successfully managing all aspects of equity.
Job Description:

Manage day-to-day administration of the equity program in accordance with plan requirements and timelines including: accurate and timely recording of new equity awards, exercises, terminations, restricted stock releases and ESPP purchases for all employees and other equity holders both domestically and internationally.

Work closely with payroll leads to provide US and International equity income transactions and ensure accurate and timely tax withholding and reporting.

Maintain and ensure compliance with SOX, Federal, State, Local, Foreign and Expatriate tax laws & withholding requirements, and related requirements, including keeping abreast of the changing regulatory and payroll tax environment.

Update and maintain accurate equity participant information.

Generate equity reports to support financial statement disclosures such as Earnings Per Share, equity award tables, and beneficial ownership tables for SEC filings, including Form 10K, 10Q, and proxy statements, as well as any other ad-hoc reports needed. Support the quarterly review and annual audit processes.

Record monthly stock-based compensation journal entries and related equity transactions for financial reporting. Reconcile statement of stockholder’s equity.

Act as an equity administration liaison to participants, internal and external stakeholders, and respond to inquiries and requests regarding equity programs and grants. Support employee understanding of equity awards and Sterling’s equity programs and policies.

Partner with P&C to lead all communication pieces delivered to participants and implementation and gathering of information for the issuance of the annual grants, quarterly CEO grants, vestings and share issuances.

Manage third party vendors to ensure accurate administration of the plans. Maintain stock transfer activity with company's transfer agent.

Manage forecasting (e.g., expense, forfeitures) and modeling for equity programs in collaboration with Finance teams.

Collaborate with internal and external tax and legal advisors on global equity matters.
Experience and Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, finance, or similar field.

4+ years of experience in a global equity administration role for a public company.

Comprehensive understanding of accounting standards, taxation, laws and regulations related to equity compensation; general knowledge of global taxation preferred.

Certified Equity Professional (CEP) certification preferred.

Experience with equity platforms such as E*TRADE, Morgan Stanley is preferred.

Technologically savvy and experience working with multiple integrations with E*TRADE is preferred (i.e., Workday).

Demonstrated strong analytical and negotiation skills; ability to successfully perform independent in-depth analysis and present findings.

Strong Excel skills, ability to leverage complex formulas and modeling.

Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.

Ability to effectively communicate with employees and build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and outside vendors.

Ability to operate in a fast moving/dynamic environment and demonstrate ability to multi-task and ensure projects are completed within expected time frames.

Experience with NetSuite is a plus.
The pay range for this position is $100,000 to $125,000. Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to base pay, this role is eligible to participate in the Annual Incentive bonus plan. A full range of benefits including but not limited to medical, financial, unlimited sick time, 22 days’ vacation annually (for FT workers; prorated 1st year of employment), parental leave and other benefits are also provided.
