Overview of job

EssenceMediaCom is an agency of GroupM, the world’s largest media investment company and are a part of WPP. In fact, we are responsible for one in every three ads you see globally. We are currently looking for Group Head - Investment to join us.

The resource will be responsible for a range of work on prestigious brands across categories. including deal evaluations, dealing with the channels, integrations, interacting with the client on key questions & also managing internal SU’s. There is a lot of learning expected with an opportunity to work with a team having varied experience.

Some of the key responsibilities include:

Negotiate rates, discounts, and added value opportunities to maximize ROI for clients
Monitor media marketplace trends and adjust buying strategies accordingly to capitalize on opportunities or mitigate
Monitor campaign performance (e.g., reach, frequency, engagement, conversions) in real-time and maintaining post-campaign analysis reports to evaluate performance against KPIs.
Ensuring all Buying processes are followed
Provide regular reports and insights to clients/ Global team on campaign performance, optimizations, and ROI
Build strong partner relationship with External & Internal Partners.
Evaluate and suggest advertising opportunities / Solutions that align with client needs 
Share industry best practices, insights, and learnings with colleagues to foster knowledge sharing and professional
Participate in training programs and workshops to stay updated on industry advancements and enhance skills.

This role reports to the Director - Investment

 Measures of success –
 
  • Complete knowledge of your clients’ benchmarks
  • Completely hands on with negotiation strategy, deliver internal targets, client KPIs etc.
  • Ability to run the show all by yourself with guidance / direction from leadership team
  • Enhanced internal and external relationships and score well in delighting clients


 Minimum Qualifications:
  • Grad/PG degree majoring in marketing or media preferred
  • Experience in understanding a commercial business
  • 5+ years of experience in media buying/planning . Prior planning experience will be preferred
  • Well networked in the market
  • Strong communication skills and afinity towards numbers
  • Willingness to learn and drive to succeed.

  • Extremely flexible attitude and an ability to read between the lines
  • Quick turnaround time & sharp analytical skills
  • A strong commercial negotiator - able to gauge good value for our clients and influence senior people within large media companies to deliver it
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – both written and verbal.
