JOB SUMMARY:


As an ETL Developer, you will be part of the ETL team responsible for deploying ETL solutions using Apache Spark. Primary responsibility will be to work closely with the Data Management team and ETL Architect to implement ETL solutions for the organization using ETL tools, create technical specification documents and create test plans.


JOB ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop ETL objects – mappings, YAMLs, and workflows based on the prepared low-level design documents.
  • Debug mappings and identify errors and error rows so that they can be corrected and re-loaded into a target system.
  • Review and analyze functional requirements and mapping documents.
  • Performance tuning of mappings, processes, and load routines.
  • Technical coordination of cross-functional projects as assigned and interact with all areas of the organization to achieve timely results.
  • Provide off-hours and weekend support as needed.
  • Collaborate, coordinate, and communicate across disciplines and departments.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and requirements.
  • Demonstrate Company’s Core Competencies and values held within.
  • Please note due to the exposure of PHI sensitive data – this role is considered to be a High Risk and privileged Role.

JOB SCOPE:

This role works under minimal supervision in completion of the roles day-to-day responsibilities and effectively keeps the needs of external and internal customers as a priority when making decisions and taking action. Work performed within the roles day-to-day tasks will likely often be varied and complex in nature.


The salary range for this position is $90-95K. Specific offers take into account a candidate’s education, experience and skills, as well as the candidate’s work location and internal equity. This position is also eligible for health insurance, 401k and bonus opportunity.


JOB REQUIREMENTS (Education, Experience, and Training):
  • Minimum bachelors’ degree in Computer Science or related field highly preferred
  • Three (3) years of development experience with Apache Spark in EMR environment
  • Code experience in SCALA is a plus.
  • Involved in complete end to end ETL project lifecycle.
  • Experience in Health care X12 Standards, Flat Files and various source and target file processing is a plus
  • Strong analytic, problem-solving, multi-tasking and organizational skills.
  • Debug and tune data integration processes; analyze data warehouse architecture, normalized/de-normalized, troubleshoot and recommend improvements and alternate methodologies
  • Excellent SQL knowledge and ability to write the complex queries keeping performance aspect in mind.
  • Experience with analysis of business requirements, designing and writing technical specifications to design.
  • Hands-on experience with LINUX shell scripting, GitHub and Jenkins.
  • Experience with YAML file creating and YAML feature development are preferred.
  • Participate in testing and issue resolution to validate functionality and performance.
  • Good in Agile development methodology.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Required licensures, professional certifications, and/or Board certifications as applicable.
  • Individual in this position must be able to work in a standard office environment which requires sitting and viewing monitor(s) for extended periods of time, operating standard office equipment such as, but not limited to, a keyboard, copier and telephone.
