This is a full-time position reporting to the Group Product Manager, Personalization Engine.In addition to salary, you will also be eligible for an equity package, an annual performance bonus, and our competitive benefits that support you and your family as part of your total rewards package at Etsy.For this role, we are considering candidates based in the United States. Learn more details about our work modes and workplace safety policies here.What’s this team like at Etsy?The Next Gen Optimization squad focuses on solving newer domains of personalization, including optimizing urgency signals, reviews, push notification and suggest searches.Help meet the goal of enabling best-in-class personalized shopping experiences for Etsy buyers and driving incremental business impact.This team works with many partner teams and has a meaningful role in defining what the future of personalized shopping experience is like.What does the day-to-day look like?• Own, define and refine a Machine Learning / AI driven product strategy that focuses on improving core buyer experiences and enabling partner teams.• Own various aspects of squad operations, from quarterly planning to sprint planning. Ensure we are focusing on the most relevant buyer problems with the best solutions.• Partner with our internal customers to gather input, define product requirements, hypotheses and learning plans. Ensure successful execution of these plans, along with running experimentations and cross-share findings.• Collaborate with other squad leads (engineering manager, designer and analytics) to ensure a healthy team operations and dynamics that promote takeaways, iterations, collaborations and business impact.• Of course, this is just a sample of the kinds of work this role will require!
