As a Network Security Engineer, you will work with advanced security technologies, focusing on securing both internal and external network infrastructures, including web applications, and protecting critical systems for a variety of clients.

What You'll Do:

• Deploy, configure, and maintain a range of network security technologies, including firewalls, IPS, VPNs, and Web Application Firewalls (AWAF) such as F5 and Fortinet, to ensure comprehensive protection of network and web infrastructures;
• Protect web applications from common security threats such as SQL injection, cross-site scripting (XSS), DDoS attacks, and other application-layer vulnerabilities using AWAF solutions;
• Monitor network traffic, analyze security events, and respond to incidents affecting both network and web application security;
• Perform security assessments, penetration tests, and vulnerability scanning across the network and web applications to identify and mitigate risks;
• Collaborate with other IT and security teams to design and implement secure network architectures that incorporate web application security best practices;
• Ensure compliance with security policies and procedures, while staying up-to-date with emerging threats and evolving best practices;
• Provide troubleshooting support and incident response for network and web security issues, focusing on AWAF configurations and network-level protections;
• Contribute to the development and enforcement of security policies, and work to integrate security solutions into the broader network and application ecosystem.

• Strong knowledge of web application security, including defense against OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities, DDoS, SQL injection, XSS, and other application layer attacks;
• Experience in configuring and maintaining network security technologies (e.g., firewalls, IPS systems) and AWAF solutions (F5, Fortinet) to secure web traffic;
• Knowledge of incident response, vulnerability management, and threat detection within both network and application layers;
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security practices into network and application deployments;
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills to address security incidents and provide solutions;
• Relevant certifications such as F5 Certified Technology Specialist (CTS), Fortinet NSE, CompTIA Security+, or CISSP are a plus.
  

Nice-to-have:

• Experience with cloud security solutions and hybrid network/application environments;
• Familiarity with security automation, orchestration, and monitoring tools;
• Understanding of regulatory and compliance standards related to network and web application security (e.g., GDPR, PCI DSS).
