The Role:

Running successful, engaging events is an important part of our marketing strategy for 2023. The Event Manager will help grow Shelf revenue, and be a critical part of our Go-To-Market strategy, working cross-functionally with our Customers, Executives, Sales, Customer Success and Partner teams to successfully plan and execute events. The success of this role will directly impact demand generation and awareness of Shelf in our target market.

You will use your event marketing experience, along with your exceptional EQ and IQ, to help Shelf create amazing physical and virtual experiences. Once onboarded, you will work closely with the Marketing team and Executive leadership to secure event sponsorships planning our Event calendar for 2023 and working closely with the VP of Marketing to ensure events are successfully executed on budget to achieve defined goals. We’re looking for someone who has:

• A passion for creating memorable experiences
• A love for event marketing
• Successfully planned, built and managed event strategy
• Experience managing live/virtual events to engage with the community
• Excellent marketing communication, positioning, and messaging
• Demonstrated leadership, communication, and project management abilities.
• Bonus points for Knowledge Management certifications/KM experience
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in B2B event marketing, ideally to Enterprise.
• Experience working with Pardot, Salesforce, Asana
• Ability to work from our Stamford, CT office 2-3x per week

You will:

• Work with Marketing and Executive Leadership to create our event strategy
• Manage our event strategy, planning and execution
• Develop and maintain our event calendar
• Manage all aspects of the event, including working with our in-house designer to produce material as well as managing third party vendors
• Create pre- and post-show content and emails, utilizing webinars to further nurture event leads
• Uncover any additional opportunities to engage with the KM community
• Work closely with Revenue Operations to ensure new leads are captured and uploaded to Pardot/Salesforce for successful outreach post-event
• Be comfortable with travel as required to support successful events
• creating dedicated pre- and post-show content and emails, and utilizing webinars to further nurture event leads
• Plan, create and execute webinars
• Create and ship booth materials, swag, giveaways
• Budget management
