As an Event Coordinator on the Performance Marketing team, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering best-in-class virtual and live event experiences. Reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager, Events, this role will be responsible for planning, managing, implementing and measuring events. You will play a critical role in ensuring that our virtual events are of the highest quality and while being ruthless in your championing for Edelman Financial Engines. The ideal candidate enjoys collaborating with team members and business partners, and also works well independently.


In addition to an earnest desire to help people, we are looking for the ideal candidate to complement the team’s existing talents. We are looking for someone well versed in developing success metrics and evaluating all major events against objectives, recommending areas for improvement. Responsibilities:

  • Work with internal and external teams to execute events on a weekly basis
  • Managing all aspects of the webinar execution process – from cross-functional team kick-off, speaker briefings, creating and managing project plans and timelines, driving successful promotion, technical platform briefing/training sessions with both internal and external speakers, managing dry-runs, recordings and some edits, to live event monitoring/moderating and follow-up
  • Partner with project management partners , creative, and content partners to implement supporting promotions and target messaging before, during and after webinars via all available marketing channels; ensure marketing strategy aligns with industry best practices to drive key moments of action
  • Manage pre-event checklists, ensuring presentations are uploaded correctly in the webinar host software and all pieces are present and correct, such as software settings, widgets, polls, surveys, etc.; Manage post-event activities including archiving materials and recordings, and reporting
  • Track, manage, and reconcile a robust event calendar with a variety of different audiences, initiatives, and stakeholder involvement


Requirements:

  • Event coordinator or project management career experience
  • 3+ years’ experience in event management and execution; experience within the financial services industry strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with On24’s webinar platform and troubleshooting issues desired
  • Experience managing in-person/live events
  • Data-driven decision making and results orientation
  • Quick problem-solving mentality
  • Get-it-done personality, comfortable with ambiguity, and ability to figure out solutions with little direction
  • Excellent interpersonal skills. Must have the ability to effectively connect with internal and external stakeholders
  • Team player, well organized, hands-on attitude, passion for driving results
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including a command of proof reading
