As an Events/Field Marketing Manager for WorkBoard, your main responsibility is to plan, execute and manage events that promote WorkBoard’s Strategy Execution Platform. Responsibilities include:

  • Execute and develop a comprehensive events marketing strategy that aligns with the company's overall marketing goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, customer success, and services, to identify and prioritize events that will generate the most impact for the business.
  • Plan and manage logistics for all events, including venue selection, vendor management, budgeting, and on-site event management.
  • Develop and execute pre-and post-event marketing campaigns to drive attendance and engagement.
  • Set and align objectives and key results for events and provide visibility on ROI and their success across the company.
  • Manage event budgets and ensure all events are executed within budget parameters.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with industry partners, sponsors, and vendors to enhance the quality and impact of events.
  • Research and stay up-to-date on industry trends and competitor activities to ensure the company's events remain innovative and effective.
  • Ensure that all event content and messaging align with the company's brand and messaging guidelines.
  • Provide guidance and support to other members of the WorkBoard team on event-related initiatives.

COMING IN

You’re a self-starter with strong ownership skills, willing to go above and beyond the job description, and not afraid to work in a fast-moving startup environment. You are genuine, warm, positive, engaging, and empathetic.

  • 3-5 years of experience in a Field or Events marketing role
  • Have managed multiple in-person and virtual events, end-to-end
  • Success working in a remote environment with a strong home setup
  • Demonstrable written and verbal skill set in sales and marketing communication targeting senior enterprise personas
  • Supporting characteristics, strong work ethic, coachable, curious self-awareness, and self-development focused

YOU'LL BE SUPER SKILLED AND EFFECTIVE AT

  • Working with customers who have offered to speak at events
  • Making our customers look good when they take the stage
  • Delivering an event experience that advances trust, credibility and sales
  • Taking ownership but working well with other field-facing teams
  • Have exceptional written communication skills, and experience writing for a senior audience at enterprise companies.

WITHIN ONE MONTH YOU'LL

  • Attend new-hire immersion training and be certified as a WorkBoard Expert User and WorkBoard OKR Coach (Objectives & Key Results)
  • Understand our marketing strategy and how you will contribute
  • Meet with Product, Customer Success, and Services and Sales teams to learn more about our solution, go to market, and roadmap
  • Have read all of our key user and market communications and key branded content, and be a daily user of WorkBoard yourself
  • Be able to articulate the value, benefits, and relevance of our platform easily and effectively

WITHIN THREE MONTHS YOU'LL

  • Be managing our events line up for the year.
  • Become an expert on our technology stack, and understand how it helps you manage and report on events.
  • Have a POV on how we can optimize our events program
  • Be an expert on the data from past events and the impact they have on revenue
  • Have attended at least 2 in-person events

WITHIN SIX MONTHS YOU'LL

  • Have played a driving role in organizing, executing, and ensuring our 2023 events program is successful
  • Attended multiple in-person events that have orchestrated
  • Have built exceptional cross-functional relationships, and be a dependable resource for our customer-facing teams
  • Have an events roadmap signed off on by SLT

This role will play a critical role in driving demand and engagement for the company's products and services through strategic event planning and execution.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $91,000 to $138,000 + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and geographic location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Please note that the compensation details listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only, and do not include equity, or benefits.
