Executive Vice President, Group Executive Producer

Edelman is seeking an Executive Vice President, Group Executive Producer to lead production for some our largest most dynamic clients across multiple categories; Food and Bev, Retail, and Spirits to name a few.

This person is a well-established production leader with a truly integrated background. This person will know the established rules and look for areas to change and break the status quo and embrace new media and formats in production.

Production sits at the intersection of Creative, Strategy and Digital. This candidate will partner with brand teams to create the most dynamic content on behalf of our clients. They will partner with production leaders across Edelman and entities within our network to build efficiencies across mediums, formats, and channels at scale. They will lead their production team with firm clarity and respect to ensure all project goals are met.

The proper fit is a forward-thinking, multi-disciplined integrated production leader who can execute and deliver production solutions across multiple platforms. A leader who cares about the development and trajectory of their direct reports. The EVP, GEP reports to our US Head of Production.

Responsibilities:

    • Ongoing leadership, management, growth and oversight of content production scopes, resources, and workflow
    • Be a steadfast advocate and mentor across all arms of the Production team.
    • Collaborate with other executives in the company to drive growth and profitability.
    • Identify new production opportunities and/or spaces for Edelman to stretch into as part of the longer-term vision of the Production team.
    • Execution of high-quality content at low-cost in a quick, agile creative environment
    • Understand the role of data in driving creative development and understand the role of emerging platforms in driving new creative formats and innovation
    • Develop strong partnerships with all major leads of our client facing businesses
    • Direct and manage your team, both in their day-to-day responsibilities and in their ongoing career development
    • Contribute to and support our client and financial goals in terms of growth, margin improvement and client satisfaction
    • Streamline and manage content production across all projects
    • Manage staff, performance reviews and mentor career growth
    • Create budgets and forecasts as required within the financial cycle
    • Stay abreast of new developing digital production technologies
    • Partner with creative and account leads to ideate, sell-in, scope, and execute creative work at the highest quality.
    • Prepare production budgets, schedules, and address production-related questions for internal and external clients.
    • Cultivate and maintain relationships with reps, directors, and vendors. Lead director search and vendor bidding process.
    • Lead communication with necessary production, creative and account service colleagues to facilitate workflow.
    • Collaborate with strategy and creative teams to champion innovative ideas. Be a tireless advocate for the creative process while always looking for the best way to provide solutions on time and budget.
    • Possess a willingness to learn and explore beyond your core.
    • Manage client expectations and give recommendations when required.
    • Oversee projects from initial pitch, through discovery, concepting, design, development, and QA final deliverables.

Basic Qualifications:

    • At least 12+ years of production experience in Communications Marketing and/or related fields
    • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

Preferred Qualifications:

    • Website or reel must be submitted with demonstrated experience.
    • Exceptional leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead a team of producers, directors, writers, and other creative professionals.
    • Passion for being a student of the industry.
    • Base knowledge of industry talent and vendors.
    • Appetite to produce work in all specialties (Digital, Social, Broadcast, Radio, Print, Experiential, Fabrication).
    • Proficiency in industry software and systems.
    • Excellent planning, organizing and time management skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
    • Collaborative work ethic.
    • Understanding of all processes involved in a production lifecycle (video, design, digital).
    • Budget preparation skills.
$166,000 - $313,000 a year
An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of DJEH’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, a Paid Time Off policy, and region-specific benefits.
