The primary focus of this role is resolving user issues and providing technical assistance. Key responsibilities include reading technical manuals, conferring with users, and conducting computer diagnostics to investigate and resolve problems efficiently. Responsibilities of the Desktop Support Representative: • Read technical manuals, confer with users, or conduct computer diagnostics to investigate and resolve problems or to provide technical assistance and support• Maintain records of daily data communication transactions, problems and remedial actions taken, or installation activities• Set up equipment for employee use, performing or ensuring proper installation of cables, operating systems, or appropriate software• Install and perform minor repairs to hardware, software, or peripheral equipment, following design or installation specifications• Oversee the daily performance of computer systems• Answer user inquiries regarding computer software or hardware operation to resolve problems• Inspect equipment and read order sheets to prepare for delivery to users• Develop training materials and procedures, or train users in the proper use of hardware or softwareQualifications of the Desktop Support Representative: • A minimum of 1+ years of experience in a related IT support role• Ability to follow instructions• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills• Ability to follow technical manuals and installation specifications• Excellent communication skills for interacting with users and team membersPlease note contractors are engaged to provide services to Expedia Group on a temporary basis in connection with a specific assignment.
