We are looking for an outstanding technical leader with a penchant for innovation, love for risk management, and deep knowledge of machine learning theory to join the InsurTech leadership team as Senior Director of Machine Learning Science. In this role, you will lead our Machine Learning Science organization in pursuit of revenue optimization and pricing, product personalization, and development of complex models to construct and offer our portfolio of risk based products. What you'll do: Build production grade data and machine learning pipelines in a range of environments, to support batch and streaming applications. Adapt and modify existing advanced models, techniques and algorithms to suit InsurTech specific needs. Build end-to-end design of models based on detailed understanding of business requirements, including general approach, choice of algorithm and data sources. Have advanced knowledge of sophisticated model design incorporating the latest academic and published research including neural network, transformers, and reinforcement of learning domains. You will select valid approaches that are appropriate in terms of effort, favoring iterative delivery that solves for the objective, not the ask. You will communicate widely across experts and non-experts within the company and the industry and explain complex concepts in a compelling way. You will contribute to cross division talent development by sharing knowledge and best practices across EG, servicing as a specialist and advisor. You will build a pipeline of talent for the future from both internal and external talent pools. Who you are: Bachelor's, Master's, PhD degree in a Technical field; or Equivalent related professional experience. Experience developing dynamic pricing capabilities. Expert in risk prediction models. Actuarial experience a bonus. Experience in application in an industrial setting and crafting robust solutions relatively quickly. Demonstrated ability to drive multi-year roadmaps for cross functional, multi organizational programs. Seasoned executive with the ability to communicate with and influence partners and leadership teams. Expert in more than one major ML programming language (Python, R, Scala) and familiar with others. Experience and expertise in configuring, maintaining and optimizing storage and processing environments (cloud, prem, cluster management etc.). Expertise in building production grade data and machine learning pipelines in a range of environments, which can support batch and streaming applications. Strong People Management experience. Salary Range: $80K -- $100K Minimum Qualification Data Science & Machine Learning, Technology ManagementEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications
