Within the Expedia Group, the Partner Experience Design organization (XD) is our global, cross-disciplinary team uniting user experience design, content design, and research to enable innovative, relevant, and cohesive experiences that serve the needs of all our travelers, partners, and agents.We’re looking for a motivated UX Designer II to help us envision and deliver delightful partner and traveler experiences. We work on a global scale for multiple brands, across devices and platforms, in a diverse and collaborative environment.As a UX Designer II on the Private Label Solution (PLS) XD team, you have an opportunity to think through the framing of problems with a focus on end-user needs and desires. Alongside the product team, you will identify, design, specify and implement end-to-end experiences for a wide range of products and services. Your workstream will be on the Portal, our partner-facing product, where our PLS partners manage their business with Expedia Group. You will be a key contributor to creating delightful experiences for partners who are managing their performance, running reports, and optimizing their business. This is a temporary 24-month assignment.Responsibilities of the User Experience (UX) Designer:• Demonstrate understanding of visual and interaction design foundations and create appropriate sketches, wireframes, flows, design comps and prototypes• Explore design solutions and directions based on customer needs, wants, and problems• Collaborate closely with other experienced designers, content designers, and researchers to deliver explorations and solutions.• Demonstrate facilitation skills and ability to coordinate with cross-functional partners• Use our design system, components, and patterns effectively and appropriately with guidance• Create routine, informative communication material explaining decision-making rationale to team members• Help gather and interpret diverse qualitative and quantitative inputs• Assist with defining success metrics for solving a design problem• Contribute to idea generation in team settings• Collect, process, and act on design feedback constructively• Explore diverse, novel perspectives and design directions by default, and evaluate concepts using appropriate methods to determine the strongest proposal to present to the wider teamQualifications of the User Experience (UX) Designer:• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in human-centered interaction, user experience, or related design field OR;• Relevant experience with at least 5+ years of related professional experience• Strong appreciation for human-centered design and creating an outstanding customer experience• Proven track record of collaboration with creative partners• History of developing cohesive, compelling strategic visions for experience, product, and service challengesPlease note contractors are engaged to provide services to Expedia Group on a temporary basis in connection with a specific assignment.
