Senior Product Manager - Revenue Recognition & Billing

Summary

We're looking for a Senior Product Manager with a strong foundation in Revenue Recognition workflows and excellent communication skills to lead key capabilities in our finance automation platform. Expedite Commerce is a Salesforce-native Lead-to-Cash SaaS platform offering advanced CPQ, CLM, Subscription & Usage Billing, and eCommerce. We're now extending our platform into AWS to boost speed and scalability. With an AI-first mindset and deep domain expertise, we are helping enterprises modernize and automate their entire digital sales and finance processes.

The Role

You will lead our Billing and Revenue Recognition product areas, collaborating closely with the VP of Product Management, CFO, design and engineering teams, and customers. Your work will directly shape how modern finance teams manage revenue, ensure compliance, and operate at scale.

  • Reports To: VP of Product Management
  • Works With: CFO, Engineering, Designers, Customers
  • Location: India (Remote)
  • Work Hours: 3:00 PM – 12:00 AM IST (US team overlap; flexibility available for the right candidate)

Domain Expertise

Revenue Recognition

  • Solid understanding of revenue workflows; familiarity with ASC 606 or IFRS 15 is preferred.
  • Experience collaborating with finance teams and Controllers to align on accounting practices, revenue recognition and forecasting.
  • Ability to define and validate workflows that support accurate and auditable revenue processes.
  • Exposure to systems such as QBO, SAP, or NetSuite is a plus.

Billing

  • Understanding of SaaS, XaaS, and usage-based billing models (recurring, consumption).
  • Collaborate with Sales, Order Management, and Billing Ops teams to streamline pricing, service activation, and invoicing.
  • Design scalable billing workflows that support accurate invoicing and reporting.
  • Deliver demos and explain billing approaches clearly to internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the full product lifecycle — from research and design to delivery and iteration.
  • Translate complex financial concepts into intuitive, compliant, and scalable product features.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineers, designers, and finance leaders.
  • Document processes, user guides, and implementation materials for internal and customer use.
  • Engage with customers and prospects to gather insights, support sales, and improve adoption.
  • Create demo assets and training materials for onboarding and enablement.

Must-Have

  • 5+ years of experience in product management, ideally in finance, billing, or Rev Rec-related SaaS products.
  • Familiarity with ASC 606 or IFRS 15 revenue recognition standards and their application to financial workflows.
  • Strong foundational understanding of revenue recognition processes and experience working with finance stakeholders (e.g., Controllers, CFOs).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage the product lifecycle end-to-end and collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.
  • Experience in customer-facing roles, preferably in enterprise SaaS environments.

Nice-to-Have

  • Deep expertise in ASC 606/IFRS 15, including ownership of compliant product workflows.
  • Experience integrating with financial systems such as QBO, SAP, NetSuite, etc.
  • Exposure to Salesforce or AWS platforms.
  • Understanding of SaaS billing models and usage-based pricing structures.
